Range Rover SV Ultra: 5 Things That Push Luxury and Technology Even Further Than Before

The Range Rover SV Ultra is the most refined vehicle the brand has ever produced. It takes everything that makes Range Rover a benchmark in luxury motoring and moves the standard forward, not just in materials and finish, but in the way the cabin interacts with the people inside it. From a world-first audio technology to a paint finish that behaves like liquid metal, every element of the SV Ultra has been developed with a clear purpose: to create a vehicle that goes beyond the expected.

For anyone who follows what is possible in a luxury vehicle, the SV Ultra is worth close attention. It introduces several firsts that have no precedent in any other production vehicle. Here are five of the most significant.

1. A World-First Audio System That Puts You at the Centre of the Music

The SV Electrostatic Sound system marks a genuine first in automotive history. No other production vehicle has ever used electrostatic speaker technology, and the SV Ultra brings it to all four seats.

The system uses 21 ultra-thin transducer panels, each just 1 mm thick, integrated into the headrests, seatbacks, and headlining. Each membrane sits between two perforated metallic plates. An audio signal is applied across those plates, causing the membrane to respond up to 1,000 times faster than a conventional speaker cone. The result is audio with the clarity and detail you would normally associate with a recording studio or premium headphones, without the distortion or vibration common in traditional speaker setups.

The system was tested across more than 1,000 hours of extreme conditions, from -20°C to 65°C, to ensure it performs precisely across all climates. It is available as an option exclusively on SV models.

2. A Full-Body Audio Experience You Can Feel

The SV Electrostatic Sound system does not work alone. It is paired with Body and Soul Seat (BASS) technology and the Sensory Haptic Floor to create something that goes well beyond listening.

Body and Soul Seats use AI-optimized software to analyze the audio being played in real time and translate it into physical pulsations felt through the seat structure. Both the first and second rows of the SV Ultra are equipped with BASS, so every occupant can feel the performance as it happens.

Beneath the floor mats, four transducers in each passenger footwell deliver additional haptic feedback through the Sensory Floor. The floor and seat systems work together to extend the experience across the entire lower body. Together, they create a listening environment that is more physical than anything previously offered in a production vehicle.

Beyond entertainment, passengers can select from six wellness modes, ranging from Calm to Invigorating. Each program is designed to influence heart-rate variability (HRV), supporting either relaxation or improved focus depending on what the occupant needs.

3. A Paint Finish That Looks Like Liquid Metal

Titan Silver is a new exterior colour developed exclusively for the SV Ultra. Its formula is so specialized that it cannot be offered on any other Range Rover model.

It is produced using real, fine aluminum flake combined with advanced pigment technology. The result is a surface with an iridescent, mirror-like quality that appears to shift depending on the angle of light. Rather than sitting flat, the finish has a sense of depth that makes it read closer to polished metal than paint.

The exterior is completed with Satin Platinum Atlas and Silver Chrome accents across the grille and side graphic. The 23-inch alloy wheels carry Satin Platinum inserts and new Range Rover centre caps, reinforcing the overall finish without disrupting its cohesion.

4. An Interior Material You Have Never Seen in a Vehicle Before

The SV Ultra introduces rattan palm veneer to the cabin, a material that has never been used in an automotive interior before. It arrives using a patented process that preserves the natural cellular structure of the palm, allowing precise cross-section cuts that reveal the material’s grain and absorb dye in a way that creates warm undertones from the natural resins within.

For the SV Ultra, the veneer is finished with an Orchid White tint that brightens the surface and emphasizes its open-pore texture. It extends beneath the single touchscreen and runs through the full length of the cabin, reaching the electrically deployable club table in the rear and the powered door of the integrated cooler compartment.

The rest of the interior continues the light, cohesive approach. Seating is covered in Orchid White and Cinder Grey Ultrafabrics, a leather-free material that offers engineered softness precise enough to carry a laser-crafted mosaic perforation across the upper sections, inserts, and backrests. The pattern is applied consistently across the entire seating surface for a unified, detailed finish.

Completing the cabin: Orchid Pearl SV speakers, Orchid White seatbelts, SV Ultra-branded treadplates, gloss white ceramic accents, and an elongated scatter cushion in Kvadrat remix textile, a blend of durable wool and recycled polyester.

5. A Powertrain Lineup That Includes a Future Electric Option

The SV Ultra is currently available with the P615 V8 powertrain. A fully electric version is in development and set to arrive later in 2026.

This means buyers who want the full SV Ultra interior and technology package today have a clear path forward with the V8, while those who prefer to wait for the electric version have that option on the horizon. Both versions will carry the same SV Ultra designation and the same suite of interior and audio technologies that define the vehicle.
